Funeral of Mrs. Jester
The funeral of Susan B., widow of Alvanza Jester, took place from the home of her brother-in-law Samuel N. Hill, at Markham yesterday. Rev. Smith, pastor of Mt. Hope Methodist Episcopal Church, officiated. Interne was made at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The pall-bearers were: J. Ashton Colbourne, Samuel N. Hill, Jr., Jacob Slaughter, William W. Hill, S. Parker Reese and George Sharpless.

Mt. Hope News
Mrs. Susan Jester, who was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, has long been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She was received in the Siloan M.E. Church in 1866, and was transferred to Mt. Hope some time later. The Ladies' Aid Society will also miss her because of her faithfulness.
