Mrs. Willie Thigpen Evans, wife of the late Thomas Warthen Evans, died at her home in Atlanta Sunday, May 19th. Graveside services were conducted at the City Cemetery here Friday morning by the Rev. R. Cranfill Brown, pastor of the Sandersville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Evans is survived by one daughter, Mrs. T. P. deTreville of Warner Robbins; two grandsons, Ted and John deTreville, also of Warner Robbins; one brother, Dr. Rembert H. Thigpen of San Fernando, Calif.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Thigpen of Sandersville, and had many friends and relatives here.
