He was born on April 2, 1934, in Shiocton, Wis., son of the late August Martin and Alice (Babcock) Martin. He was a lifelong resident Channing. He worked as a logger in the woods all of his life. He loved any kind of mechanic work. He enjoyed watching the "Price is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune."
Herb was survived by brothers, Clinton Martin of Fond du lac, Wis. and Arthur (Mary) Martin and Glendon Martin, both of Channing; sisters, Alice (Ron) Furman of Oshkosh, Wis. and Betty Martin of California; sister-in-law, Viola Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, William Martin, Charlie Martin, Augie Martin, and Irving Martin; sisters, Hilda, Liz, Mable, and Leona; and stepbrothers, Hank, Maynard, and Leonard.
