DENISON - Funeral for Harold J. Fowler, 75, of Gordonville, who died at a local hospital, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Moore chapel. Rev. Danny Wood will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery near Gordonville.
Fowler was born in Grayson County, Feb. 14, 1903, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Fowler. He attended Basin Springs Community School. He was a chef at the Eatwell Restaurant and at the White Pig before his retirement. He was a member of the East Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Harold Jr. of Gordonville; a daughter Mrs. L.C. Spaugh, Austin, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hughes, Sherman, Mrs. William McCarley, Dallas, Mrs. Norma Lee Swalles [sic], Fort Worth, Loretta Fason, Tyler; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8.
Pallbearers will be Harold, B.J. and James Spaugh, Raymond and J.D. Atkins, and Billy Williams.
