WELLS – Everett E. Firth, 81, of 343 Atlantic Avenue, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at York Hospital.
Born in Sanford, February 8, 1894, he was the son of Joseph and Cora Briley Firth, and had served during World War I in France with the US Army, 303rd Field Artillery.
He had been supervisor of music for many years in the schools of Sanford and Wells, retiring in 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosemary Scandura Firth; a son, Everett J. Firth of Dover, MA; a daughter, Mrs. David (Sherrill) Auld of Bethesda, MD; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Lucas and Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York. The Rev. Linwood Welch of the Ogunquit Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Wells.
