Rufus Benjamin Eno, son of
Albert and Eliza Way Eno,
was born December 30, 1880
on a farm near Newell, Iowa.
He passed away January 11,
1963 in the Buena Vista County
Hospital at Storm Lake,
Iowa, from an acute coronary
occlusion, at the age of 82
years and 12 days.
He spent his childhood on
the farm where he was born.
His education was in the
Newell schools and at Cornell
College, where he completed
a Business Course. As a
young man he spent two years
farming in Wyoming.
On March 9, 1910, he was
united in marriage to Alice
Wadsley at Early, Iowa. To
this union one son, Charles,
was born. For some time the
Eno's lived on a farm near
Early, and then moved to a
farm near Storm Lake. They
then resided in Storm Lake
before returning in 1923 to
the farm at Newell where he
remained until his death.
His parents, his brother,
LeRoy, and an infant brother,
Vincent, preceded him in
death.
He is survived by his wife,
Alice, his son, Charles, his
daughter-an-law, June, and
three grandsons, Rex, Steve,
and Lee and a niece, Eunice
Rice and her son John Wright
of Ohicago and several cousins.
