Harvey W. McCoy Age 85, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. He was born in Akron, OH to the late Harvey Sr. and Susie (nee Wall) McCoy and was a long time Lockport and Joliet area resident. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and retired from Inland Ryerson Steel after many years of employment. He was a member of the Men of A-Chord Men's Choir for 17 years, and was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Joliet. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel (nee McBurnett) McCoy. He is survived by one son, David (Georgianne) McCoy of Chicago; four daughters, Susan (Clay) Huey of Atlanta, GA, Carol (Earl) Franks of Troy, AL, Valerie (Robert) Page of Plainfield and Pamela Caton of Canton, IL; grandchildren, David (Cherie) Huey, Amber (Nathan) Hauser, Deanna Huey, Nathaniel Page, and Matthew Page; and one great-grandson, Brayden Hauser. Funeral Services for Harvey W. McCoy will be Monday, February 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Clay Huey officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted under the auspices of the United States Army. Memorials may be made to the Joliet Christian Youth Center or the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at: FRED C.
