Obit: Faye L. Vandervort, 89, Kirklin rt. 1, died at 9:15 a.m. yesterday at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She had been ill for the past 18 months.
A lifetime Kirklin area resident, she was a member of the Kirklin Christian Church and the Priscilla Club.
She was born February 8, 1890, in Clinton County, the daughter of John Milton and Priscilla Jane Ricketts Louks. She married Vern C. Vandervort, and he died in January 1975.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Staton of Kirklin rt. 1, and Mildred Hanks of Rathdrum, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Kirklin, with the Rev. Frankie Pilley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
