"Odell F. Rogers, age 83, of Sheridan, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, in the Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.
"Born August 28, 1921 in CLeveland County, he was a son of the late Joel C. Rogers and Fannie Hillman Rogers.
"He was an operator for Shell Oil Refinery, a Methodist, a Mason and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
"Survivors include his wife, Maria Cantrell Rogers of Sheridan; one son, Don Rogers of Deer Park, TX; one brother, Oliver Rogers of Fordyce; three sisters, Vera Wells and Vivian Nash, both of Fordyce and Victoria Morehead of Poyen; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
"Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29, at Stoney Point Cemetery with Rev. Nathan WIniecki officiating. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce was in charge of arrangements.
