Jake Taylor, 32, of South Windsor and Albany, CA, died Thursday, (January 17, 2013). Born in Manchester, son of the late James T. Taylor and Cheryl (Nunes) Taylor of South Windsor, he was raised in Manchester. Jake was an amazing athlete and excelled at any sport he tried. His passion was BMX biking. He enjoyed pole vaulting, Muay Thay boxing, and snowboarding. Jake loved performing magic tricks, telling funny stories, photography, and would talk philosophy until late into the night. Jake attended South Windsor High School and went on to become an EMT in both Connecticut and California. Jake was a good friend to many and loved his family very much. He is survived by his children Sydney and Tahi Taylor and their mother, Stephanie Sala all of Albany, CA. Besides his mother Cheryl, he also leaves his paternal grandmother, Dolores Taylor of Manchester; his sisters and their husbands Tara and Milton Jackson and Jamie and Anand Murugesan; a brother Derrick Taylor; beloved nephews and nieces Andrew, Nathan, Jakquan, Milton, Aneysa, Asenya, and Teija, and many caring aunts and uncles. Jake's life would seem short, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of our time is more important than the length of years.
