Obituary of Jack Howard Bankston
(December 10, 1932 - January 31, 2013)

Biloxi, MS ~ Jack Howard Bankston age 80 and a resident of Biloxi, MS, died January 31, 3013, in Biloxi.

Mr. Bankston was a native of Wayne County, MS, and was retired as a safety office with the Sheriff's Department. He had served in the U. S. Navy in Korea and Viet Nam and retired from the Unites States Coast Guard. He was a member of Ramsey United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bankston was preceded in death by his first wife, June Bankston; parents, Martin E. and Darrel Boutwell Bankston; and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria Chest Bankston; sons, Anthony, Dennis, Perry, and Jeffrey Bankston; brothers, Pete and Shorty Bankston; stepchildren, Raymond, Patricia, Tina, Melissa, William, and Janus; 35 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The funeral will be at Ramsey United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.

The family prefers plants in lieu of flowers. Published in The Sun Herald on February 3, 2013
