Francis Watts was born abt 1650 in Stafford County, VA. Francis was the son of Edward Watts (1620-1690) and Anne (Sherman) Watts (1630-). Francis married Sarah Beall in 1678 in Prince Georges County, MD. This couple had three daughters and two sons: Sarah, Eliza, Susan, Francis and John Watts.

Francis and Sarah owned Bathelor's Delight on the Wye River. Francis died at a very young age. His will was dated December 2, 1684. His estate was inventoried on March 2, 1685. He left his land to his 2 sons: Francis and John for 100 acres of Bechelor's Delight located on the Wye River to be equally shared.

After his death, his widow married Col. Samuel Magruder (1654-1711).

Francis died in Anne Arundel County in 1684 or 1685.
