Carl Wilson Kiefer was the son of Julius and Cressie (Ferry) Kiefer born in the Kiefer family home located on the county line between Scotland County and Clark County Missouri (at the time of his birth the township was referred to as Harrison, Scotland County, Missouri). He had one sister, Velma (married to Troy Thompson of Keokuk, Iowa).
Carl attended school in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri, and college at Baker University, Baldwin City, Kansas. He worked as a switchman for the Kansas City Southern Railroad for over thirty years (retired in 1980). In the early 1960's Carl ran for the office of Missouri State Representative as a Republican.
Carl married Angela Marie Reda on September 17, 1955...they had two children: daughter Rita Marie (married Burton Medall) of Valencia California and son Christopher Michael of Kansas City, Missouri. In the early 1960's Carl ran for the office of Missouri State Representative as a Republican.
Carl is a descendant of Pilgrims Charles Ferry b 1636 & William Allis b 1614...and also a descendant of American Revolutionary War Patriot Charles Ferry b 1739(DAR ancestry #A039537)via his mother: CARL son of Cressie Ferry & Julius Kiefer; CRESSIE daughter of James Ferry & Lucy Loughridge; JAMES son of Chester Ansel Ferry & Elizabeth Anne Stokesberry; CHESTER son of Harvey Ferry & Rhoda Stone; HARVEY son of Asa Ferry & Ruhama Wait; ASA son of Charles Ferry (PATRIOT b 1739 served in Mass as a SGT, 2ND LT)& Mary Preston; CHARLES son of Noah Ferry Sr & Experience Allis [Experience daughter of Joseph Allis, son of John Allis, son of PILGRIM William Allis b 1614] & NOAH son of Charles Ferry & Abigail Warner; CHARLES son of Charles Ferry (PILGRIM b 1636)& Sarah Harmon.
Carl loved to garden and shared the fruits of his garden with neighbors and friends. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of White Avenue Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
