Herman Ray Havard, 51, of Lucedale, MS, passed away February 1, 2013. He was born October 31,1961, in George County to Fred and Louise Havard. Mr. Havard was a Pipe Foreman with V.T. Halter Marine. He was the lead singer and guitarist in the Herman Havard and the Flatland Blue Grass Band. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Louise Havard; brother, Leroy Havard; sister, Betty Jean Havard, and parents-in-law, Marvin E. and Loray Howell. Mr. Havard is survived by his wife, Marcella Havard; 2 daughters, Kailey Rae Havard and Morgan Loray Havard; a son, Nick Herman (Logan) Havard; and was expecting his 1st grandchild, Marlee Lou Havard. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph (Marilyn) Havard, Lucedale; Charles Ellis (Wanda) Havard, Leakesville; Freddie Jo (Shirley) Havard, Lucedale; and Ricky (Tonja) Havard, Lucedale; sisters, Helen Marie (Frank) Hinton, Lucedale; Ethel "Mae Mae" Havard, Lucedale; JoAnn Havard, Lucedale; and Annette (Jimmy) Harvison, Semmes, AL; and a brother-in-law, Marvin (Vicki) Howell, Lucedale. Mr. Havard's Funeral Services will be held today, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10 AM at the New Antioch Full Gospel Church with Rev. Heath Havard and Josh Havard officiating. Burial with follow in the New Antioch Full Gospel Church Cemetery. George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
