The death of Burton Sage removed a man who had been a resident of Pittsford for 25 years. He was ill only three days of pneumonia. He was born in Ionia 60 years ago. He leaves, besides his wife, two daughters, two sons, and his mother.

Rochester D&C, Tuesday, February 8, 1927:
Burton Sage
Pittsford, Feb 7- Burton Sage, a resident of Pittsford for twenty five years, died this morning at the family home, No. 9 Jefferson road extension, after an illness of three days of pneumonia, aged 60 years. Mr. Sage was born Feburary 5, 1866 at Ionia, a son of Mrs. Julia Ketchum Sage and the late Plowden Sage. Besides his wife, Lillian Graves Sage, he leaves two daughters, Miss Mabel Sage and Mrs. Grant Schoen; two sons, Harwood and Harold Sage, a grandchild, his mother, Mrs. Julia Ketchum Sage, all of Pittsford and a brother George Sage of Shortsville. Funeral service Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home.
