Arlene S. Horton 73, of Rte. 351 died on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at the Community Hospice at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Born in Poestenkill, Arlene was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Pearl E. Horton Miller, and wife of Alfred P. Horton. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School Class of 1955. Arlene was a homemaker, a member of the Poestenkill Church of Disciples and an avid NASCAR Fan, especially following driver Casey Kahne.
Arlene was the sister of the late Wilma Anderson. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughters Kim (Scott) Franklin of Troy and Rae-Ann (Tom) Vooris of Poestenkill, her brother David Miller of Petersburgh, her sister Debbie Kiszka of Poestenkill and her grandchildren Samantha and Tabitha Vooris and Kyle Franklin.
