Christine Lucille Bush Miner 74, of Williamstown, (Boaz) W.Va, passed away Thursday (Jan. 31, 2013) at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus in Parkersburg. She was born March 5, 1938, in Revere, W.Va., a daughter of the late Arley and Iva Bush.

Christine was a 1956 graduate of Tanner High School and received a BA Degree from Glenville State College, Glenville, W.Va. and her MA Degree from West Virginia University.

Christine taught at Normantown High School, Gilmer County; Tanner Elementary School, Tanner,W.Va., West Virginia University at Parkersburg, Cooperative Business Education, and Marietta High School. She also coached girls basketball, high school level.

She was awarded the Martha Holden Jennings Scholarship 1985-1986; Marietta City Schools Outstanding Educator 1992; Teacher-Academic Excellence Recognition Award Recipient class of 1988-1992; 5 Star Excellence Award, Ohio Vocational Education Award, Business Education Division, 1989; and Honorary Chapter of FFA, Marietta High School 1987.

She was a member of Sand Hill United Methodist Church, Williamstown, (Boaz) W.Va. She was a retired member of The National Education Association; The Ohio Education Association and Marietta Education Association; The Ohio Business/Vocational Association; Delta Kappa Gamma Omicron Chapter and Marietta Business and Professional Women's Club. A Volunteer-In-Mission United Methodist Church traveling to Alaska, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Africa, Zembaee, Hungary and South America.

She is survived by her two children: Albert Carl Miner III, of Reno, Ohio, and Mikki Filishia Miner Haas; and husband, Bruce of Marietta; grandchildren, Bill (Ciana) Greenlief of Glenville, W.Va., Rachael (Jon) Clark of Parkersburg, Al Miner of Reno, Ohio, Adam Haas of Knoxville, Tenn., and Gracie Haas of Marietta; and several great-grandchildren; two brothers; her twin brother, Cletus Bush of Williamstown, Donald Bush (Karen) of Revere, W.Va.; and one sister, Donna Grogg (Bill) of Glenville, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carl Miner, Jr. (1999); five sisters, Mildred Arlene Yoak, Lois Marie Carpenter, Ruby Weaver and Margaret Dunbar, and Roberta Wunderlich; three brothers, Robert Ray Bush, James Donley Bush and Richard Bush.

Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday (Feb. 4) at Sand Hill United Methodist Church, Williamstown, (Boaz) W.Va. with the Rev. Lauren A. Godwin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., and one hour prior to services Monday at the Church.
