Robert Edward Hough, 82, of 222 N. 14th St., Murphysboro, died Wednesday, April 25, 1984, at Jackson County Nursing Home, Murphysboro.

Mr. Hough was a retired parts handler for Caterpillar Co. in Peoria and a retired advertising salesman for Skinner and Kennedy Advertising Co. in St. Louis. Mo.

He was a member of the Murphysboro Eagles Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro.

He was born July 7, 1901, in Peoria to John and Maude Kimmel Hough. He married Emma Smith on July 14, 1930, in Murphysboro.

Survivors include his wife of Murphysboro; a sister, Mrs. Albert Burdick, Butler, Ind.; a niece, Mrs. Dorothy Easterly, New Haven, Ind.; a cousin, Dean 0. Smith, Pinckneyville and a sister-in-law, Anita Crawford of Champaign.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro.

Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery in Murphysboro. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
