Mary's parents were Thomas James Webb b: 1820, SC and Mary Webb b: 1825,

The Muster Card shows that a J. Webb was in the brigade mentioned on the tombstone but Susan's father never came to Texas and his name always appears as Thomas in the 1850 census with Susan and her mother and in the 1860 census.

Mary Susan is living in Brazos county with her uncle, JAmes and his family in the 1870 census, she had lost her mother in 1867 and we believe her father, Thomas, died in the Civil War. Thomas J. served in Alabama in the 38th Regiment, Company B - CSA Alabama Infantry Volunteers. Muster Roll of Company B, 38th Regiment Alabama Infantry Volunteers, CSA Wilcox County, Alabama.
