The only child born to George and Essie Rhodes. She worked in the shipyards during WWII and then owned her own beauty salon in Vancouver. On July 11, 1969, she married Harlin Cornett in Reno, NV. Harlin and Alma were married for 30 years. Alma is a lifetime member of Mt. Hood Eastern Star and a member of The Church at Rockwood. She was a history buff who loved learning about the genealogy of her family. She was also a music lover who could "cut a mean rug" in her day. Alma will be missed by her daughter, Brenda J. Beller and husband, Wayne of Gresham; granddaughter, Kimberly Fandrey and husband, Scott of Gresham; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Anthony and Kayla Fandrey of Gresham.
