Florence "Mickey" Ranson, 88 years old, moved on to her heavenly home on January 29, 2013.
She was born in Coleman, Oklahoma, March 26, 1924 to Nelson and Sarah Elizabeth Thompson.
She is survived by the love of her life, Mathew Ranson, who she joined in marriage on August 31, 1950. Mickey and Matt brought together a lively family of nine children: Larry (Janet) Pugh, Matt (Betty) Ranson, Margie (Leland) Lang, Bill (Mary Ellen) Ranson, Linda Webb, Tom (Debbi) Ranson, Karen (Bill) Johnson, and Mike (Tammy) Ranson. Her loving son Ken (Linda) Ladd preceded her in death. Mickey has multiple grand-children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that enriched her life.
Mickey spent her years serving others in many capacities; 25 of those years were spent serving the public at Bill & Nada's Cafe in Salt Lake City. She was an awe-inspiring woman who enhanced the lives of everyone who crossed her path; she will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice; especially Kathy, Tonya and Camille for their compassionate care.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1745 East 9800 South, Sandy, UT, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with a Rosary Monday night at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East, Sandy, UT at 7 p.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
