Beulah V. (Lau) Gentzler, 90, died 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Januar y 25, 2003, at Colonial Manor in York. She was the wife of Melvin C. Gentzler who died in 1946. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Stoverstown. Her pastor Rev. Dennis L. Weidler will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery in Stoverstown. Viewing will be 79 p.m Tuesday at Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. She was born March 3, 1912,, in Stoverstown.
She was the daughter of the late Jonas P. and Edna (Bair) Lau. Mrs. Gentzler was a seamstress at Bair Sewing Factory for over 25 years and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Stoverstown. Mrs. Gentzler leaves a daughter, Fay C. Herman with whom she lived; three sons, Harold F. Gentzler, Sr. of West York, Stanley K. Gentzler of Orange County, Calif., and Nevin L. Gentzler of Stoverstown; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ada L. Wildasin a resident of Homewood at Plum Creek; and a brother, John J. Lau, Sr. of York New Salem. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Gifts Fund of St. Paul's UCC, 2173 Stoverstown Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
