Hally was born in Lenawee Co. to Samuel & Laura McMath Vaughan. He lived in Hillsdale Co., MI most of his life. He married Cora Way in 1906 & she past away in 1958. He married Blanche Bacon Lewis in 1959. Hally owned the Limits Restaurant, he was a park commissioner for the Hillsdale County Road Commission, and a first ward supervisor for the City of Hillsdale. He was very active until his death at age 93.
