Eric W. McKinney age 30 of Connersville passed away on December 22, 2012 due to a work related accident. He was born May 3, 1982 in Connersville the son of Emily A. Lane McKinney of Connersville and the late Ronnie L. McKinney. Eric is a 2000 graduate of Connersville High School and a 2002 graduate of UTI College in Chicago. He had been employed at Rumpke and SAPA before becoming employed at Intat in Rushville. He is a member of the UAW local 2339. Eric is a member of the Sons of the AMVETS. He was a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with his son and family. He also enjoyed diesel truck and tractor pulls. On June 2, 2007 in Connersville he was married to Sarah Davenport McKinney. He is also survived by his son Diesel McKinney; a brother Ryan & Elizabeth McKinney, LaGrange, MO; a sister Nikki & Robert Noah, Connersville; his maternal Grandmother Clara Lane, Connersville; 5 nieces, ShiAnn, Kayla, Stephanie, Trinity, and Stevie Suzanne. 6 nephews, Spencer, Connor, Zander, Aden, Landon, and Kaiden. Eric is preceded in death by his father and his maternal Grandfather, David Lane Jr; and his paternal grandparents, Delbert & Bessie McKinney. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Saturday December 29, 2012 at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 3-7 P.M. on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home for a scholarship fund for Eric's son Diesel.
