Mrs. Juanita Williams Sawyers, 85, of 502 Miller Avenue, Hinton, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 in the Raleigh Center at Daniels following a long illness.

Born June 24, 1915, in Prince, she was the daughter of the late William Ingole Williams and Maude Williams Barrett.

Mrs. Sawyers was a resident of Hinton for the past 60 years. She attended Beckley Schools, was employed by Rahall's in Beckley and later retired as manager of Kessler's in Hinton.

She was a member of the Miller Memorial United Methodist Church in Hinton, the Delphia Club, Lady Golfers of Willowwood, and Friends of the Library.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Sawyers, on May 15, 1999; two sisters, Alma Williams and Mary Evelyn Russell and two brothers, James Eligha Williams and William Ingole Williams Jr.

Survivors include one brother, Dr. Thomas A. Williams of Conroe, Texas; two nephews, Jim Williams of Aztec, NM and Michael Russell of Glen Morgan, and one niece, Gayle Fink of Attica, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29th at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Rodney Jamison officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park Mausoleum, Hinton.
