ris Blackner Holyoak died August 18, 1994, in Mesa, Arizona, from complications of multiple strokes. She was 78.

Born to William and Clara Blackner, June 13, 1916, in Greenville, Utah. She was married to Royce A.

Holyoak, March 27, 1941, a ceremony later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Iris is survived by her three sons, Royce Lynn, Mesa; Craig, Salt Lake City; and Michael, Chico, California. She had 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by her husband in 1989 and first son, William Antone in 1944.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Iris was active in scouting, youth auxiliaries and the Relief Society. Living most of her life in Salt Lake City, she enjoyed learning, fishing, hunting and traveling.

Her life centered on family, faith and friends. She is missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services were Saturday, August 20, in the Beaver City Cemetery. The family thanks all who have expressed kindness and love.
