Mathew Seth Lane, 42, of Gridley, IL., died at 9:39 A.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his home in Gridley. His funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Piper City, IL., with Rev. Elizabeth Reis officiating.
Burial will be in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home in Piper City. Memorials may be made to a fund for his daughter's education.
Mat was born on December 8, 1970 in Fairbury, IL., to Raymond A. and Debbie (Tewell) Lane. His childhood was spent in Piper City.
Mat graduated from Ford Central High School and received an Associates degree in Ag. Economics from Parkland College. Mat was a service technician for the Gridley Telephone Company.
Survivors included his daughter Carson Raeann Lane of Gridley. His parents of Golconda, IL. Maternal Grandmother - Dorothy Louise Tewell of Bloomington, IL. One brother Tony (Andrea) Lane of Piper City. A niece and nephew Raele and Hayden Lane of Piper City. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Mat was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather - Robert Tewell and his paternal grandparents - Seth Lane and Naomi Lane Bossong.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Piper City.
Mat loved spending time with his daughter. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
