She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1942.
Rita had been employed as a telephone operator by New England Telephone & Telegraph. She later worked at K-Mart.
She was a member of the St. Mary Alumni Association and enjoyed crocheting and reading.
She was the widow of Adalbert Michaud who died on March 22, 2007.
She leaves her two sons, Raymond Michaud and wife, Sally, Unity, NH; Wayne Michaud, Unity, NH; a daughter Cynthia Ouellette, Charlestown, NH; eight grandchildren, Travis, Wendy, Brandon Michaud, Melissa and Amanda Shattuck, Trevor, Becky and Tyson Bielarski, four great grandchildren, a daughter in law, Joyce Bielarski, a brother, Roland LaPointe, Greenville, SC; a sister, Irene Cloutier, Terryville, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, George LaPointe who was killed during WWII.
Committal will be in Union Cemetery.
