CALHOUN FALLS - Jim Henry Porter, Jr., 68, husband of Linda Brown Porter, of Calhoun Falls, died January 30, 2013 in Greenwood. He was born in Abbeville to the late Jim Henry Porter, Sr. and Florine Moore Porter. Mr. Porter served his country in the United States Army and retired from Westpoint Stevens Plant with many years of service. Mr. Porter was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge 283, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Hejaz Shrine Temple and Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls. He is survived by his wife of 46 years of the home; a son, Jim H. Porter, III, of Calhoun Falls; a daughter, Kela Martin, and her husband, Andy, of London KY; three sisters, Martha Jane Brown, of Summerville SC, Sue M. Porter of Greenwood and Ruby White and her husband, Roger, of Calhoun Falls; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Bethany, Jim "Bubba," IV, Addison and Carson. Burial with military and masonic rites in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Harris Funeral Home.
