Jewell W. Taylor, 88, died Jan. 24, 2013, in Port St. Lucie. She was born in Monterey, Tenn., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 59 years, coming from Nashville, Tenn.

She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a laboratory tech for Scott Medical Laboratory. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Hartwein of Fort Pierce and Kathy Haselgrove of Vero Beach; sister, Robbie Beaver of McMinnville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 616 Orange Ave., Fort Pierce, FL 34950.

Services: Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 with a service to follow at 2 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
