Christopher J. Allen, 30, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Season's Hospice, Phoenixville, after a courageous fight with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Groton, CT, he was the son of Lou Ann (Phillips) Allen of Phoenixville and the late Charles W. Allen. Chris was a 2001 graduate of Phoenixville High School. Christopher J. Allen, 30, of Phoenixville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 in Season's Hospice, Phoenixville, after a courageous fight with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Groton, Conn., he was the son of Lou Ann (Phillips) Allen of Phoenixville, and the late Charles W. Allen. Chris was a 2001 graduate of Phoenixville High School. He was a member of the Over 17 Club at Fox Subacute Care, and was on the Resident Advocacy Committee. He enjoyed playing video games and was an electronics enthusiast. Chris was the "Thinker" while his cousin James Smith was the "Doer". Surviving in addition to his mother and her loving companion Brian Gallagher, are his sister, Jenny Allen of Gilbertsville; maternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Alice Phillips; aunts and uncles, Colleen and Danny Mongold, Mary Beth and David Ryder, Ed and Tina Phillips, Dan Phillips, Melissa Phillips and Jesse Lentz, John and Tricia Allen,Sue and Tom Smith, James and Cindy Allen and Amy Ann Allen; many cousins, extended family and friends, and his beloved "Gizmo". He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Amy Allen, and his uncle, Michael Allen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday in St. Ann Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions to benefit special needs students at Phoenixville High School may be sent to the Christopher J. Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 101 S.
