CURD, MR. LYNN S. - age 81, of 6320 Clinton Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, June 28, 1999 in The Saint Mary's Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a native of Johnson County, Tennessee. He was a son of the late Alfred Curd and Ira Dunn Curd.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Curd.

Mr. Curd was a Veteran of World War II, having served as a Medic in The U.S. Army. He was a member of The Norwood Church of Christ and was a retired member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #5 in Knoxville.

Survivors: wife of 52 years, Grace M. Curd of the home; son, Dwight Curd and wife, Sue, of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Sandra Davis and husband, Albert, of Claxton, TN; mother, Ira Dunn Curd of Mountain City, TN; five grandchildren, Tia Roberts, Tanya Curd, Travis Curd, Teri Payne and Angie Cofer, all of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Clay Curd of Knoxville, TN and Carl Mast of Mountain City, TN; three sisters, Adwina Arnold of Knoxville, Wanda Payne and Doris Plesant, both of Mountain City, TN; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1999 from The Percy-Hux Funeral Home with Mr. Bob Cowles officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. from The Dunn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Larry Payne, Bill Payne, Danny Curd, Jamie Curd, Dean Curd, Dick Curd and Richard Arnold. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home or the residence of his mother, Ira Curd 140 Butler Lane, Mountain City, TN. Percy-Hux Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
