Mrs. Alma Josephine Carlson, formerly of 854 Prendergast Avenue, died Wednesday evening at the Allen Nursing Home. Mrs. Carlson was born in Jamestown, N.Y., November 24, 1884, the daughter of Nels and Augusta Larson Hanson. Her husband, August Carlson, preceded her in death 30 years ago. At one time, Mrs. Carlson was employed by the Empire Worsted Mills. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Martha Society.
Surviving are a step-son, Richard C. Carlson, Bradford, Pa., three sisters, Mrs. Esther Samuelson, Jamestown, Mrs. Edith Titus, Bradford, Pa., and Mrs. Florence Thierfeldt, Frewsburd, N.Y., a brother, Hilmer Hanson, Jamestown, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Henderson-Lincoln. Mrs. Carlson is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Jamestown, N.Y.
