Betty Jean Baker 77 of Indian Harbour Florida, formally of Jefferson City, died Friday Februar 13, 2004 at the Westthoff Medical Center in Melbourne Florida.

She was born January 17, 1927 in Brumley the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Sarah (Neal)Hickman. On March 11, 1950 in New Bloomfield she married Carl S.Baker. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Stephen W.Baker of Holts Summit a brother, Charles Neal Hickman, of New Bloomfield, four grandchildren,Stephen L.Perrey, Megan Baker, Natalie Prosser and Rachael Baker and a great granddaughter, Ava Nicole Perrey.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters; Leslie, Charles,Rollen,Nina Neal,Letty Cave, Helen Gaines and Doris Jones.

Mrs Baker graduated from New Bloomfield High School. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Indialantic Florida a member of the New Bloomfield XYZ Club and a member of the Slusher Club in New Bloomfield.

Services are at 2p.m. Wednesday at the Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Monte Shinkle officiating Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City Visitation is from 5-7p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary in Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to the Concord Baptist Chrch or the First Baptist Church of Indialantc Florida.
