Mrs. Ellen Easterly, mother of H. G. Easterly of west of Carbondale, died at 9:30 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Reischauer, in Chicago. Mrs. H. G. Easterly, who has been in Chicago for the past two weeks, was with her when the end came this morning.
Mrs. Easterly was 78 years old and an old resident of this vicinity, living with her daughter in Chicago for the last year.
The body will be brought to Carbondale on No. 21 Sunday morning and taken to the H. G. Easterly home. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clcok at the Pleasant Grove church.
