"CHARLES EDGAR AUSTIN DIED FRIDAY MORNING
Charles Edgar Austin, 42, died unexpectedly about 1:30 a.m., Friday at the farm home three miles west of Carrollton. Death was attributed to a heart seizure.
Born near Bosworth, February 21, 1920, Mr. Austin was a son of Albert T. and Lilas Hattie (Carroll) Austin. A lifelong resident of Carroll County, he was preceded in death by his father. His mother survives at 601 North Monroe, Carrollton.
His wife survives him. They were the parents of nine children.
He also leaves two brothers, Ercil Austin and Rex Austin, both of Carrollton; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Allen, Bogard; and Mrs. Mary Mathews, Carrollton; and a grandson.
Mr. Austin was a member of the Wakenda Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at 2 o'clock Sunday at the Gibson Chapel. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery." per his obit.
