Sonny was united in marriage to Alvena Renegar on May 7, 1955 in Mountain View, Missouri. To this union, one son was born, Danny.
Preceding him in death were his parents; father and mother-in-law, Claude and Elsie Renegar; one brother, Jerry Yarber; and one sister, Betty Langley.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alvena, of the home; son, Danny Yarber and wife, Jody, of Birch Tree; two brothers, Charles Edward Yarber and wife, Ann, of Birch Tree and Norman Dean Yarber and wife, Etta, of Mountain View; two sisters, Joyce Hull and husband, David, of Dawson Springs, KY and Barbara Koger and husband, Darrell, of Novinger, MO; one brother-in-law, Harley Langley of Dawson Springs, KY; two granddaughters, Amanda Reed and husband, Chris, and Beth Dodge and husband, John; four great grandchildren, Landon Faulkner, Wyatt Dodge, Christian Reed, and Cassie Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising bird dogs. He was an avid turkey hunter. He was a dedicated farmer for many years. Sonny loved spending the day on his tractor on the farm.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed.
