Graveside service for Thomas L. Ford will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Kenny Joyner officiating. Mr. Ford was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 18, 1950 and passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2009.

Tom proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. His life passions were music, videography and working with disadvantaged children. He was a teacher at Union Avenue School in Los Angeles for 23 years before retiring to Louisiana to be near his family.

Tom will always be remembered for his quick wit, his boisterous laughter and his legendary memory. He was a man of selflessness, integrity and loyalty to this friends and family. Most importantly, he was a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents,three sisters, a brother, and their spouses; his adopted family, from California, a niece and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Ford.
