Mrs. Cora E. Shively, 61,well known resident
of Frankfort, Kansas for many years, passed
away at the Seneca hospital at 9:30 p.m. on
Monday evening following a illness of several
weeks.
Mrs. Shively who was born north of Vliets,
Kansas, had spent most of her life in the
Vliets and Frankfort communities, except
a few years spent at Marquette, Kansas.
Frankfort had been her home since 1933.
Mrs. Shively was a member of the First
Methodist Church and was a regular attendant
she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and
took up active interest in affairs of the
community. Mrs. Shively was a devoted
mother and a kind neighbor.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clyde
Crosby, Frankfort, Kansas and a son, Marvin
Shively, Sumner, Washington; three sisters,
Miss Lillian Connet, Kansas City, Mrs.
Maude Witty, Medical Lake, Washington and
Mrs. Alta Steele, Vermillion, Kansas; one
brother, Ray Connet, Vliets, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at the Frankfort
Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Burial was in the Vermillion Cemetery,
Vermillion, Kansas.
