Ralph P. Barr, Sr., 93, of West Mifflin, died Weds., January 30, 2013. He was the retired owner of Ralph Barr Masonry and a life member of Brick Layers & Allied Craftworkers, Local 9 PA. He built his own home and many others in the area, and some of his home furnishings. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII and was in the second wave at Normandy. Husband of Florence N. (Pyers) Barr for 65 years; father of Laura (the late Harry) Softley of Canada, Ralph P. Barr, Jr. of Washington, DC, Colleen B. (Richard) Bogovich of Allison Park; grandfather of Kathleen Softley, Kevin Softley, Brian Bogovich, Bonnie (Jim) Newsome, and Barry Bogovich; brother of the late Dorothy Whitney, Anthony Barr, William Barr, Elsie Morgan, and Robert Barr. Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial with military rites, Holy Name Cemetery.
