Mrs. Henry W. Hoover
Mrs. Teresa W. Hoover, 86, of Webster City and formerly of Ottumwa, died at Southfield Care Center in Webster City Thursday.
She was born April 18,1887, in Wapello County, the daughter of Timothy and Mary Agnes O’Brien O’Conner. She had lived in Wapello County and Ottumwa all her life before moving to Webster City seven years ago.
She was married to Henry F. Hoover on Jan. 7, 1914, in Ottumwa. He died in 1961.
Survivors include one son, William F. Hoover of Golden, Colo.; six daughters, Mildred Boley of Ottumwa, Mary Todd of Golden, Colo., Bernadine Powell of Sioux Falls, S.D., Betty Lathrop of Genoa, Colo., Patricia Day of Webster City and Donna Henson of Huntsville, Ala.; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret O’Malley and Ellen Shepherd, both of Ottumwa. She was also preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottumwa. The Rev. R. J. Murphy will celebrate a Requiem Mass. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery.
A Rosary service will be held at the Johnson Funeral Chapel Sunday at 8 p.m.
