Stoughton- Jason Rogers, age 34, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 24, 2012. Jason was born in Indiana, attended school in Sun Prairie and spent most of his adult life in the Madison area. He was employed by Tailored Living LLC, where his carpentry skills and hard work were highly valued. Jason loved motorcycling, mechanics, Red Wing hockey and cabinetry work. His intense curiosity lead him to explore the details of all those interests and to become proficient in all of them. Jason was a wonderful, loving father to his daughter, Karis, and his son, Devin. He was so proud of Karis' accomplishments in softball, bowling and dance and joined Devin in father-son roughhousing. Jason's perfect day included donuts for breakfast with his children and spending time with them on their woodworking projects. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Chevis Rogers; daughter, Karis; son, Devin; father, Dale (Rhonda); mother, Debbie Topp Wegner; brother, Brian Rogers; grandmother, Rogene Johnson; and numerous members of his extended family. Jason was especially close to his cousin, Joey Topp Jr., and his best friend, Tim Woollen. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Burial will follow in Wheeler Prairie Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at the Stoughton VFW Post 328, following the burial. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jason's name and will be used for Karis and Devin's education.
