Pat M. Morrison, 69, of Stanton, died on Friday, July 14, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 17, 2000 at Downtown Church Of Christ, with Elmore Johnson of Lubbock and Van Pendergrass, minister of Downtown Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born on April 25, 1931 in Brady, Texas and married Pete Morrison on March 25, 1950 in Martin County, Texas.
Pat moved to Big Spring as a young girl, and attended Big Spring schools.
She moved to Martin County in 1950.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Farmers Coop Gin for a short time and was a homemaker and gardener.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Morrison of Stanton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki Lynn and Herb Sorley and Kimberly Karol and Bob Schmelter all of Stanton; one son, James Edward Morrison of Stanton; one brother, Gail Miller of Big Spring; one sister, Wynell Schnur of Austin; six grandchildren, Julie L. Luna of Stanton, Wendi K. Murdock of Houston, Miranda D. Chadwick of Midland, Jody W. Robertson, Cody W. Robertson and Robert Dylan Schmelter all of Stanton; and three great-grandchildren, Laci Lee Luna and Austin Cole Luna both of Stanton and Victoria Brooke Chadwick of Midland.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Morgan and Imogene Wilmuth.
