David Davis, 79, of LaFollette, died Monday evening at LaFollette Community Hospital.
He was a deacon, member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, a retired plumber and electrician, and former member of the Junior Order United American Mechanics.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Davis, LaFollette; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Heil, Cottondale, Ala.; two sons, Robert L. Davis, Kettering, Ohio and Charles D. Davis, LaFollette; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Winona Chapman and Mrs. Ruby Miller, both of LaFollette, and Mrs. Blanche Presley, Knoxville; and one brother, the Rev. Albert Davis, Speedwell.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Walter's Chapel with the Rev. Don Reynolds and the Rev. Paul Heatherly officiating. Interment will be in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
Walter's Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
