She was born on November 15, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Dr. Charles R. Wallace and Mrs. Anita Dancy Wallace. Cheryl graduated in 1977 from Wellesley College as a Wellesley Scholar. She attended American University Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1982. From her marriage, she was blessed with a son, Jeffrey M. Boyd and a daughter, Lindsey Y. Boyd. Her career achievements included serving as a counsel for the Senate Commerce Committee, and working over 15 years with EPA where she held several positions within EPA. Cheryl took her community service duties very seriously. She was a member of the Junior League of Dallas, and the Dallas Chapter of The Links, Inc. She was also very active with the PTA of Greenhill School.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., New Hope Baptist Church, 5002 S. Central Expressway.
