Springfield, Tenn. — J. Marvin Jr. died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at North Crest Medical Center.

J. was born December 1, 1956, in Paducah, Ky., to Jim and Karen Marvin Sr. of Paducah.

He was an active member of Springfield First United Methodist Church, a Mason and worked for Hail and Cotton as a tobacco dealer.

In addition to his parents, J. is survived by his wife, Leslye C. Marvin of Springfield, Tenn.; sons, Daniel Charles (Heather) Marvin of Davenport, Iowa, Michael Paul (Jamie) Marvin of White House, Tenn.; brother, Ken Marvin of Paducah, Ky.; mother and father in-law, June and Charles Magness of Mayfield; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 31, 2013, from 3 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home, 2201 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. 615-384-0036.
