Ruby Pauline Jones Pennington, 84, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Raintree Manor after an extended illness.
She was born in McMinnville on Dec. 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Alta Mae (Judkins) and Samuel (Sam) Mason Jones. She worked as a nurse and was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy K. Luna of Manchester, Karen A. Pennington of Sarasota, Fla.; son Ronny H. Pennington of Antioch; sister, Wilma McCormick of Munice, Ind.; and brother Bobby Jones of McMinnville; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Gaston E. Pennington, parents, Samuel (Sam) Mason and Alta Mae (Judkins) Jones, son Terry Pennington, two daughters, Judy Goodwin and Sharon Wallace, two sisters Annetta (Joyce) Jones Sanders and Minnie Mae Jones Couch, two brothers, Paul Jones and Almas Jones.
Funeral service were held Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Danny Barens officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
