Lambert (my cousin) was the son of Elmer Eli Vail and Ruth Edgeworth Horton and grandson of Benjamin Franklin Vail and Savannah Cordelia Gainey. He married Eugenia Belle "Jean" Bradford (Hinkle) on Aug. 29, 1947 in Birmingham. Their children are Rev. James Richard "Jim" Vail of Florida, Carol Jean Vail (McDonald) and Barry Michael Vail. Lambert died of cancer.
