Richey, Montana: Joyce Marie Babb Waters, age 83, of Richey, Montana, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2013 at the McCone County Health Center in Circle. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Richey with Pastor Paul Sponheim officiating. Cremation has taken place at her request and interment will be held in the Richey Cemetery in Richey at a later date. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Richey has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Joyce Marie Babb Waters was born on July 11, 1929 in Glendive, Montana the daughter of Jerry and Mable (Posey) Babb. Her mother died when she was six. She and her three year old brother, Ken, were raised by her grandparents. She attended both grade school and high school in Richey graduating with the class of 1947. On October 16, 1949 she married Keith Waters and to this union three daughters were born.
Joyce's legacy that she leaves behind is her love for the Lord. She loved working with teens and she was a dedicated, vigilant prayer warrior. She was a member of the Richey CMA. She liked to sew, quilt, read, argue politics, and fix special meals for family get togethers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son in infancy.
Survivors include her three daughters; Karyl (Mark) Frisinger of Richey; Jan (David) Hrubes of Richey; and Jeanne (Bob) Guckeen of Billings, Montana; brother, Ken (Bev) Babb and family of Cypress, California; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
