So swift and silent was the call for this little one, that even the mother's heart felt no apprehension until a few moments before its death. The sympathies of friends are with this young couple, who thus early in life are called to feel this first great sorrow, and theirs are not the only hearts which feel the loss. To the little one who began life's journey with her calls in vain for "sis" and at the home of the grandparents, where "Lizzie's babies" were always welcomed with joy, this blow is keenly felt. The words of earthly friends seem to give but little comfort, but our Friend above, has said "Their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven."
